Andrea Henden

Dr Andrea Henden

Dr Andrea Henden is an early career clinician scientist. She is currently a research officer in the Translational Cancer Immunotherapy Laboratory, developing CAR T cell therapies for blood cancers.

Her PhD was completed in the Bone Marrow Transplantation Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer where she studied factors controlling graft-versus-host disease and graft-versus-leukaemia affects.

Dr Henden also holds a position as a staff specialist in Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Her current research spans both clinical research and translational and basic science research, with the goal of ultimately improving outcomes for patients with malignant haematological disorders.

Dr Eoin O'Sullivan

Dr Eoin O'Sullivan

Eoin O'Sullivan, MBBS, PhD is a Specialist Nephrologist at Metro North, and Affiliate at QIMR Berghofer. He has a degree in medicine from University College Cork, Ireland and a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, UK, where he specialized in using single cell transcriptomic approaches to understand the biology of senescence in kidney injury. He also holds multiple certifications in nephrology and a master's in medical education. In addition to his research, Dr. O'Sullivan is actively involved in medical education and mentorship, involved with ANZSN Educational and scientific committees, with national level educational initiatives in both in Australia and in UK.

Dr Bjorn Burgher

Dr Bjorn Burgher

Bjorn is an early career researcher and psychiatrist. He is a research officer in the Clinical Brain Networks Group.

His PhD examined computational changes in the brain underlying cognitive recovery after a first episode of psychosis using neuroimaging.

Bjorn is the clinical director of the Queensland Neurostimulation Centre, which serves as a platform for translating research involving neurostimulation methods, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
