Next forum session - November 2025

The Functional Evidence Forum is a community of practice that focusses on translating experimental data into outcomes for patients with inherited disease. The Forum was co-designed by the community, and is informed through continuing consultation with forum members.

The Functional Evidence Discussion Forum consists of a quarterly online session, with presentations by researchers and clinical curators focused on the use of experimental data in variant classification. The forum has substantial time allocated to discussing the application of the assays presented, and incorporates polls of the audience opinion around the assays presented with consultation results are collated and returned to members.

The Forum is an outcome of the AusMAVE Education project and welcomes all interested professionals to join.
