About

I am a biomedical researcher with expertise in mouse models applied to chronic diseases. Since joining the Hepatic Fibrosis Group in 2022 as a Research Officer, I have focused on the therapeutic potentials of microRNAs in regulating hepatic stellate cells - the primary drivers of liver fibrosis.

My PhD in Molecular Oncology, at Kyoto University, was supported by the prestigious Monbukagakusho Scholarship from the Japanese government, underscoring my commitment to impactful research on tumor angiogenesis. I have also had the privilege of collaborating with leading Japanese research groups, including the Nobel Laureate Shinya Yamanaka, known for his pioneering work on iPSC (induced pluripotent stem cell) technology. I am passionate about advancing biomedical research by translating cutting-edge science into practical solutions for major health challenges. My goal is to bridge basic biology discoveries with real-world applications to develop effective therapies and improve patient outcomes.
