Dr Huanwei Wang is a research officer working with A/Prof. Matthew Law and Prof. Stuart MacGregor in QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since 2024. Before that, he finished his PhD with Prof. Jian Yang and A/Prof. Allan McRae at the University of Queensland (UQ) from 2017-2021 and a 3-year postdoctoral training with A/Prof. Loic Yengo and Prof. Peter Visscher at UQ from 2021-2024. His research is on the statistical method development and human genetic analysis leveraging big biobank-level human phenotype and genotype datasets. His current research project is mainly focusing on the genetic prediction for skin cancer, such as Melanoma.
