About
Dr Huanwei Wang is a Senior Research Officer working with A/Prof. Matthew Law and Prof. Stuart MacGregor at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since 2024. Before that, he finished his PhD with Prof. Jian Yang and A/Prof. Allan McRae at the University of Queensland (UQ) from 2017 to 2021, and a 3-year postdoctoral training with Prof. Loic Yengo and Prof. Peter Visscher at UQ from 2021 to 2024. His research is on the statistical method development and human genetic analysis leveraging big biobank-level human phenotype and genotype datasets. His current research mainly focuses on the genetic analysis of skin cancers such as melanoma.
