About
Hani completed her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Queensland in 2022. She then joined the Biomedical Machine Learning Lab (IMB-UQ), headed by Associate Professor Quan Nguyen, as a research assistant. Her work focused on using the 10X Visium platform to generate spatial gene expression data from fresh frozen and FFPE samples. After Quan's lab relocated to QIMR Berghofer in 2023, Hani continued to develop her skills in spatial cell biology with collaborative projects with industry partners Pfizer and Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology. She has experience with 10X Genomics platforms such as Chromium, Visium CytAssist and Xenium. Hani joined the Microscopy and Spatial Cell Biology Facility in July 2025 and will focus on providing support for sample preparation, instrumentation workflows and data analysis capabilities for spatial cell biology platforms in the facility.
