About
Dr Xue Lu is a Research Officer at the Functional Genetics Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer.
Dr Lu completed her PhD in molecular biology at QIMR Berghofer with Prof. Kum Kum Khanna in 2023. She has continued as a post-doctoral researcher in Functional genetics group at QIMR Berghofer, where her research focuses on investigating the role of the noncoding genome in cancer progression and therapy resistance.
Research Skills
Dr. Lu specialises in DNA damage and repair mechanisms, targeted therapies, immunofluorescence microscopy, high-throughput CRISPR screening, noncoding RNA studies, and the use of animal models and patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models for cancer research.
Area of Interest
Understanding how lncRNAs contributes to cancer progression and therapy sensitivities in breast and ovarian cancer.
