About
Dr Sheridan Helman is a Post-Doctoral researcher in the Molecular Nutrition Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer.
She joined QIMR Berghofer as an Honours student in 2018, testing novel iron supplements for use during pregnancy. Sheridan began her PhD in 2019, where her research focused on maternal iron homeostasis, the molecular basis of placental iron transport, and dietary iron absorption during early postnatal life.
As a Post-doc, Sheridan continues to investigate perinatal iron homeostasis, alternative oral iron supplements and the molecular basis of iron uptake by red blood cells.
