Dr Melanie Plinsinga is a Cancer Council Queensland Next Generation Research Fellow (2025–2029). She is a trained exercise scientist with a PhD in chronic pain and leads a collaborative research program focused on cancer survivorship with a particular emphasis on chronic survivorship conditions such as lymphoedema (ORCID: 0000-0001-8902-7434). Dr Plinsinga’s research has resulted in the publication of >40 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has attracted over $1.2 million in competitive grant and fellowship funding (H-index: 12, FWCI: 1.43). She demonstrates research leadership through HDR supervision, editorial responsibilities, grant peer review, and roles at institutional, national, and international levels. Her independent contributions are recognized through national and international awards, invited presentations, and keynote addresses.
