About
I am a PhD student in the Cardiac Drug Discovery Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer. I completed my Bachelor of Biomedical Science with Honours (2025) at the University of Queensland in the Simmons and Cuffe Groups. During my Honours, I characterised the spatial and temporal expression patterns of novel murine-specific proteins in the mouse placenta and focused on optimising a Myc-tagged protein expression-based approach to identify potential protein interactions in the placenta.
My PhD primarily focusses on deciphering paracrine signalling mechanisms and the contribution of specific cell-types in the fibrotic heart. My work will involve using phosphoproteomics and spatial proteomics on human cardiac organoids and human heart tissues to identify critical signalling nodes.
