About

Carolin obtained a Master of Science degree in biochemistry from University of Tübingen (Germany) and graduated with a PhD in cell biology from the University of Queensland.

Carolin’s area of expertise is the biology of Eph receptors in the context of cancer and the development of research models and targeted therapies for brain cancer. Her work has contributed to the development and characterisation of a series of clinically relevant, patient-derived cell line and xenograft models of paediatric brain cancers.

She has made significant contributions to the characterisation of EphA3 as a therapeutic target in adult and pediatric brain cancer and is invested in the development and preclinical testing of pay-loaded antibodies against EphA3 as targeted therapies for brain cancer.
