About
Blake Ferguson graduated from the University of Queensland with a BSc, majoring in Biomedical Science in 2007.
Since 2008 he has worked as a research assistant in a number of laboratories at QIMR Berghofer including the Drug Discovery Group, Skin Carcinogenesis and most recently the Cancer Drug Mechanisms lab. His main area of responsibility was working with animal models of skin cancer as well as pre-clinical models for drug development.
Across his roles he has performed various immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescent protocols. Blake joined the Histology Facility as a Histology Scientist in 2023. While just at the beginning of his career in the histology department, Blake is motivated to learn as much as possible in the field in order to be able to provide a quality and consistent service to help researchers achieve their desired outcomes.
