About
Ariana is a medical student at the University of Queensland with a background in molecular biology and global health research. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in German at Baylor University (USA), where she conducted genetic studies of malaria vectors across Africa and South America and was recognised with an Undergraduate Research Student Award (URSA). Ariana has also worked on public health research projects at the University of Texas at Austin and Tulane University, focusing on asthma interventions among Latinx families and immunological responses to malaria. Originally from Peru, she is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English and German, with experience working across multicultural settings and leading community service initiatives.
